As its name suggests, the 'Little Red Robin' is a more compact version of the ever-popular Red Robin. If you want a colourful evergreen that won’t take up much space then this is a fantastic choice. New foliage is a vivid shade of red and it matures to dark green, so you get two different colours on the plant at once. The glossy leaves are accompanied by pretty heads of white flowers in spring and these later become red berries, usually around Christmas time.
Plant this in a sunny spot to get the best leaf colour and give it some protection in colder areas. We love this alongside another vibrant evergreen, like the Nandina domestica, for a lively garden all year round.
