Passiflora are highly unusual and rather exotic looking plants that add interest to your garden all year round. Most passiflora are evergreen and they largely have simple dark green leaves. From July through to September these delightful climbers are in flower and the flowers are highly distinctive with brightly coloured filaments. In most varieties, the flowers are usually followed by rounded fruits in winter.
These climbers use their tendrils to attach themselves to a wall or fence and they will do best in a sunny situation.
