Hazelnut and filbert trees are one of the most rewarding varieties to grow and come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. You can tell the difference between the two varieties by their husks (the casing of the nuts) as cobnuts have a short husk and filberts have a long husk that covers the nut. Once establisted, these wonderful trees requite little maintenance and will reward you will a wonderful crop of delicious nuts each year.
