Festuca Elijah Blue
Grass
The 'Elijah Blue' is a wonderfully compact ornamental grass which forms a neat mound at a low level. The slender leaves are sharp to touch and are a wonderful glaucous blue colour. This perennial looks particularly striking when it is planted alongside a darker plant such as the 'Uncinia Rubra'. A great choice for a border or bed.

Festuca glauca Intense Blue
Intense Blue Festuca
Common Name: Intense Blue Festuca Latin Name: Festuca glauca 'Intense Blue' Soil: Fertile, moist, well-drained soil Position: Full sun Flowering period/colour: Summer/ Blue flower spikes Hardiness: Hardy Eventual height/spread: 0.3m/ 0.2m Special features: Striking silvery blue leaves. The 'Intense Blue' injects an explosion of steely blue colour into any garden and it’s the perfect choice for planting in a pot on a sunny patio. The very fine leaves are highly ornamental and they form a wispy mound. In summer blue-green flower spikes add further interest and these age to a straw-like texture. As the name suggests, the colour is intense and therefore makes a fantastic accent plant for any of the darker grasses: we love it alongside the Carex testacea as the two plants have fine leaves, but with contrasting colours.
