The Chusan Palm is a Chinese native which features a slender, upright trunk which is covered in hair-like palm fibre. The leaves of this palm, which are also known as fonds, are dark green and fan-shaped. Bunches of pale yellow flowers appear in summer, which later transform into blueish black fruits in autumn. Plant this tree in a sunny yet sheltered spot as it requires some protection from strong winds.
