If you have a small space that would benefit from varied interest then this spiraea is an excellent choice. It features clusters of flowers that start out red, mature to pink and then fade to white. The flowers appear over a long season, usually from July to September, and you will usually get all three colours at the same time from different flower heads. The leaves are dark green in colour and are sharply-toothed at their edges. This is a compact, deciduous shrub that works really well in a sunny border.
