The Whitebeam Tree, also known as Sorbus Aria 'Lutes', is a striking tree that will have a real presence in your garden.
In spring, the fresh foliage is covered in creamy-white flowers and as the weeks progress, the colour changes to a grey-green colour.
Later, the flowers become scarlet-red autumn fruits. The berries are sure to attract a multitude of birds and wildlife to your space, as well as creating an ambient, deep-red display.
Sorbus Aria is a robust specimen that will tolerate most soils and is full hardy. It boasts deciduous foliage adorned with silver-green leaves, which turn yellow and fall in autumn. During this time, the ornamental bark can be admired with its orange and beige tones.
Whitebeam Tree will reach a height of around 12 metres and spread between 6-8 metres over 20 years.
Plus, its tolerance of urban pollution makes it suitable for city gardens and streetscapes.
Add Sorbus Aria to your space today and enjoy its seasonal displays from spring to autumn.
