Salix 'Tortuosa' also known as dragon's claw willow, has a short trunk and slender, upright stems that soon begin to curl into gentle arcs. The twigs are more noticeably twisted, some of them weeping, and the bright green leaves are slightly curled as well. A weird and wonderful sight in winter when its bare branches form a contorted skeleton.
