Pyrus 'Beurre Hardy' is an excellent dessert variety with a distinctive, juicy, rose water flavour. The fruit is medium-large, light green and almost covered with rough bronze russet. It is a very ornamental variety covered with white blossom in spring and bright red leaves in the autumn. To guarantee cross pollination plant in a sunny, open site with another tree from the same flowering group (e.g. Comice).
