The 'Vega' cherries are some of the tastiest around and the best news is that the birds seem to stay away from this variety – probably because they're quite large in size. The ‘Vega’ fruits have a glossy golden coating with flushes of red around the cherries; they are delightfully sweet and have a juicy pale flesh. We advise eating the delicious fruits straight from the tree to get their best flavour, but they will keep for a couple of days once picked.
