The nectarines produced by the Madame Blanchette are irresistibly sweet and juicy: this is one of the juiciest varieties of nectarine around. The red-skinned fruits, which sometimes have an orange blush, are medium in size and the flesh inside is white.
Aside from the fruits, this tree also has ornamental value: the pale pink flowers appear in spring sit amongst the mid-green, lanceolate leaves.
When planted in a sunny spot, the Madame Blanchette will produce a bumper crop of tasty fruits; the tree has good frost resistance, so if you're in a cooler area of the U.K. and want to grow nectarines then this is the perfect choice.
