Lord Napier is the most popular nectarine for growing at home. It ripens fairly early and the white flesh is aromatic and full of flavour. It is both a regular and heavy cropper, the best choice for growing outdoors. This fruit tree is also self-fertile and can therefore be planted alone as a specimen tree. Aside from the juicy fruits, this tree also has good ornamental value. Its leaves are mid green and are finely toothed, in spring they are complimented by pretty pink flowers. The tree has an upright to spreading habit.
