Prunus 'Herman' is a very early plum, ripening mid-late July two weeks before its parent Czar. It produces medium sized plums with dark blue-black skin and golden flesh. The plums have a fantastically juicy flavour and this variety also benefits from being a freestone plum so the stone is easily removed from the flesh. The tree itself is upright-rounded in habit and its branches hold ovate, mid-green leaves which are accompanied by pretty white flowers in spring.
