Prunus 'Excalibur' is a vigorous tree which produces large, sweet, reddish-purple plums that are ready to eat in mid-August. If you are happy to sacrifice quantity for quality then this is the one to go for as the fruits are larger than Victoria and in our opinion tastier. The spherical fruits are sweet and juicy and make the perfect summer snack. To guarantee cross pollination plant with another tree from the same or adjacent flowering group (e.g. 'Victoria').
