Pieris 'Carnaval' is a highly ornamental dense shrub with year round interest. The small green leaves edged with white turn pink in the winter. In spring the bright red foliage last well into the summer. The flower panicles are formed in the autumn resulting in attractive red-tinged buds. In spring there are the attractive ivory white bell-shaped blooms which look like Lily-of-the-Valley. This low maintenance shrub is ideal in a container.
