The 'Fathead' variety of lavender is a vigorous evergreen shrub which has slender green leaves and an upright habit. The most notable feature of this plant is the lavender flowers, which emerge a deep purple colour in summer and slowly fade to pink. The flowers are highly scented and are great for attracting bees; they also dry out well and make great potpourri.
