Juglans 'Broadview' is one of the most popular walnut trees for planting in the UK as it has a more compact form than some of the other walnut varieties. Another benefit of this particular species includes the fact that it is late into leaf and so it is rarely damaged by frost. The golden-brown nuts are medium sized and appear in abundance; they are usually ready for cropping in October. This tree grows to have a rounded crown and is valued for its wonderful structure as well as its flavoursome fruits. The 'Broadview' is partially self-fertile and it is also a good pollinator for other walnut trees.
