This hydrangea is a striking shrub that offers changing interest throughout the year. The flowers are the most notable feature as they emerge a blushed white, mature to a soft pink over summer and eventually intensity to a strong, wine red. The clusters of flowers can be around 30cm long and have a honey-like scent - perfect for a sensory space and for attracting wildlife. The red-tinted stems hold soft green leaves that are finely toothed. This is a handsome shrub that works well towards the back of a border.
