Pelleted fertiliser to support growth and flowering
Clematis Fertiliser is a balanced, organic based feed which helps to promote the growth and flowering of clematis and other climbing plants such as honeysuckle, passion flower and ivy.
Rich in natural nutrients, Clematis Fertiliser will encourage vigorous growth and prolific flowering.
Clematis Fertiliser:
- Rich in potassium and natural nutrients
- Ideal for both clematis and other climbing plants
- Pelleted.
Clematis should be planted in fertile, humus soil in shade where the roots can be well protected from the sun.
To help prevent clematis wilt, large-flowering and viticella types of clematis should be transplanted three inches deeper than the starter pot. Some other clematis species (including evergreens) should be planted with the top of the root ball just below the soil surface. If in doubt seek guidance from the plant supplier or specialist grower.
Apply Clematis Fertiliser in March and repeat every three months during the growing season. Clematis Fertiliser should be sprinkled evenly around the base, worked into the soil and then watered thoroughly.
Easy to handle and apply, always ensure Clematis Fertiliser does not lodge on leaves and stems.
How to use
Note: 1 small gloved handful contains approximately 30g
For Established Plants
Apply the fertiliser in March and repeat applications every 3 months during the growing season. Sprinkle evenly 60g/m2 of pellets evenly around the base of the plant. Work into the soil and water thoroughly.
New planting
All newly planted clematis must be well watered during dry weather, particularly during late spring and early summer. Plants will benefit from an application of Vitax Clematis Feed (60g/m2) spread evenly around the base when growth is vigorous.
Tips
Use in a well ventilated place and avoid breathing in dust.
Wear gloves when gardening and wash hands after use.
Store in a cool dry place away from children, pets and foodstuffs.
Avoid the feed lodging on leaves and stems.
Brush off any pellets from paths or paving after application.
