The 'Jenneke' is a striking sedge which will add a healthy dose of variegated colour to any bed or border. This shrub will light up your garden all year round with its lustrous yellow leaves that have a fine green margin. The slender leaves are upright, but gently arch at the top: this sedge will add movement and texture to your garden with a light breeze. Although this is technically an evergreen, you can get the best out of the foliage by cutting away any dead leaves and the foliage will bounce back in spring looking even fresher. Spring also sees the addition of pale brown spikelets which sit nestled amongst the colourful leaves. This is a clump-forming Carex and it looks beautiful when planted alongside a darker sedge like the Carex comans 'Bronze'.
