This is a really unique perennial as the bell-shaped flowers grow in dense clusters of up to 15 flowers, forming a rounded flower head. The flowers are violet-purple in colour and they are held on reddish stems. In terms of foliage, the lance-shaped leaves are mid-green and these sit beneath the vibrant flowers. This bellflower looks beautiful in a border and it is also an excellent choice for cut flowers.
