The Betula pendula ‘Royal Frost’ is a relatively new hybrid as it was cultivated in 2006. This deciduous Birch is a handsome specimen tree which features rich burgundy leaves which turn orange-red in autumn. As the tree matures, white and cinnamon bark develops which contrasts beautifully with the dark foliage. This versatile tree is both drought tolerant and wet tolerant.
A beautiful and graceful tree, offering year round interest, that would make a fine addition to all but the smallest gardens.
