The Golden Cloud is a fantastic variety of birch. A relative of the popular ‘Betula pendula’, the Golden Cloud has leaves that are of the classic diamond shape, but the leaves have a golden yellow-green colour over summer, which later matures to a buttery yellow in autumn. The finely serrated leaves adorn the slightly pendulous branches and the tree has a narrowly pyramidal habit when mature. Like most betula tress, the Golden Cloud is a great choice for year round interest as the bark is predominantly silver, but with deep, dark fissures developing as the tree matures.
