The 'Telstar' is a fantastic evergreen shrub which features small, dark-green leaves that hold their colour all year round. The glossy leaves have pretty silver undersides to them and they are densely packed onto the thorny branches. Many people plant this barberry as a security hedge as its thorny branches deter intruders, but it also works very well in a border alongside a different coloured barberry, like the Barberry 'Aurea'.
