The Red Cappadocian Maple is a beautiful variety, particularly in spring when new glossy foliage shoots out a vivid red colour. As spring turns to summer, the red leaves fade to green and the new shoots continue to push out which creates a delightful progression of colour as you follow the shoot from base to tip. This tree eventually forms a rounded crown and it look fantastic when planted alongside the ‘Golden Caucasion Maple’ as the contrasting leaf colours really work well together.
