Prunus, known commonly as laurel plants, are delightful evergreen shrubs that make fantastic hedging plants. The ovate leaves can be dark or bright green and are thick and glossy to the touch. Some varieties have variegated leaves which add an extra splash of colour in a winter garden.
These shrubs are easy to grow and will do well in any moist but well-drained soil.
