Japanese Maple Trees are grown for their outstanding leaf colour which is at its best in autumn. The unusual leaves are often deeply lobed and look fantastic when they take on their autumn colour. Some of the Japanese Maples also feature attractive bark, the Acer griseum is a particularly good choice for this. These deciduous trees enjoy a lightly shaded spot that is sheltered from strong winds and frosts. Some of these wonderful trees are suitable for planting in a large pot and can be placed on on a terrace that has shade for some of the day.
