Mail-Order-Trees cannot be held responsible for delayed deliveries due to factors beyond our control such as Public Holidays or adverse weather conditions which make it impossible to lift bare-rooted trees. In cases such as these, you will be notified.
We can only deliver to physical addresses and not to PO boxes. A complete address including correct postcode must be provided. Incorrect postcodes cause more delays than omitting the postcode altogether.
Mail-Order-Trees cannot be held responsible for orders not received if an incorrect address is provided. It will also be necessary to give us details of where to place items should you be out when the delivery arrives. Mail-Order-Trees cannot be responsible for items lost if we have followed your instructions. A contact telephone number can also be very useful to our courier.
Morus nigra, or Black Mulberry Tree, is a beautiful fruit tree that packs plenty of character. Black Mulberry Tree is well-known for its rich, dark fruits and broad, shady canopy.
Morus nigra is as ornamental as it is productive.
In early summer, Black Mulberry produces small, delicate flowers, which give way to clusters of deep reddish-black mulberries later in the season.
These fruits are sweet, juicy, and full of flavour—perfect for eating fresh, baking, or making jam. They’re also a firm favourite with birds and other wildlife.
One of the most distinctive features of Morus nigra is its large, heart-shaped leaves, which create a lush canopy through the warmer months.
Black Mulberry develops a strong, often gnarled structure with a broad spread, making it a lovely feature tree or natural shade provider in larger gardens.
Morus migration is a long-lived, slow-growing tree that thrives in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and prefers a sunny, sheltered position to produce the best fruit.
It's fully hardy and quite easy to care for - just be patient, as it can take a few years to begin fruiting in earnest.
Whether you're planting for fruit, foliage, wildlife or all three, Black Mulberry Tree is a rewarding and characterful choice that only gets better with age.
