Malus 'Bramley's Seedling' is a very popular tree due to its fantastically creamy flesh which is an excellent choice for those who enjoy apple pies and crumbles. The tree has an open, spreading habit and the hardy branches hold dark green leaves which are accompanied by pink flowers in spring. The apples are large and green in colour with a red flush in broad, broken stripes. The large spreading tree carries heavy crops of apples.
To guarantee cross pollination plant in a sunny, open site with another tree from the same flowering group (e.g. Blenheim Orange).
