The fruit has purple skin and yellow flesh which is moderately sweet when fully ripe. The fruit becomes much darker when it is rip, almost a blue-black colour, so ensure you pick it at this time to get a sweeter plum. 'Marjorie's Seedling' crops later than Victoria and so is a better choice for areas that are suffer from spring frosts.
