In April, an abundance of white and pink flowers appear which are later replaced by glossy fruits. The crab apples are yellow or red and are quite similar in size to cherries; they make a fantastic crab apple jelly and are also great for attracting wildlife to your garden. The leaves are a dark olive-green and have a lovely ovate shape to them- they make the perfect foil for the summer flowers and the emerging autumn fruits.
