The rich green leaves are finely serrated and have attractive pointed tips. The flowers are a popular choice for using in a cut flower arrangement, and if you cut them in autumn they will have a pretty pink blush to them. This hydrangea is great for planting in a border and it works particularly well when it goes alongside a more colourful shrub like a ceanothus or a buddlija.
