The tree has a rounded habit with ovate green leaves, the leaves are accompanied by pink-white flowers in spring. To guarantee cross pollination plant in a sunny, open site with another tree from the same or adjacent flowering group (e.g. 'Braeburn').

The fruit is medium to large with an elongated shape. The skin is yellow-green with very little russeting and the pale yellow flesh is sweet and juicy with a pleasant mild flavour. It ripens in late October and keeps well in storage. Although 'Concorde' is partially self-fertile, to guarantee a bumper crop of pears plant with another tree from the same flowering group (e.g. 'Beurre Hardy')
