A cousin of the outstanding Cercis Merlot, the Ruby Falls is seen as a weeping equivalent to the exciting Merlot hybrid. The leaves are of the classic Cercis heart shape and they are a rich ruby red colour. The thick and glossy leaves hang on pendulous branches that weep gracefully downwards, which produces a shower of deep red hearts. The flowers are also highly attractive and they appear in spring, they cover the tree in pink and have a light and sweet fragrance. This tree is the perfect choice for the smaller garden and will add an instant splash of colour and structure to your outdoor space.
