Ligustrum, also known as privets, are evergreen or semi-evergreen shrubs that are the perfect choice for planting as a colourful low-maintenance hedge. The leaves are predominantly elliptical in shape, with some more ovate, and range from light to dark green depending on the variety. These shrubs often have heads of white flowers which are later followed by dark berries.
Ligustrum will tolerate many different planting environments and can also tolerate mild urban pollution.
