Prunus 'Opal' is one of the most reliable of all the garden plums. This tree will produce a medium sized, reddish-purple fruit with superb flavour. A feature worth noting for this plum is the ease with which the yellow flesh parts from the stone. (This is a self fertile Plum, which will also help to pollinate others in the same flowering group (e.g. 'Jubilee')
