Common Name: Hydrangea ZorroLatin Name: Hydrangea macrophylla 'Zorro'Soil: well-drained soilPosition: Full sun or partial shadeFlowering period/colour: July-September/Deep blue or pinkHardiness: Fully hardyEventual height/spread: 1.5m/1.5mSpecial features: Delightful lace-cap flowers that are blue in acid soils and pink in alkaline soils. The 'Zorro' shrub has the unusual trait of having different coloured flowers in different soil types: in acid soils, the flowers are deep blue, and in alkaline soils the flowers are pale pink.
