The ascending branches hold dark green leaves which turn to red and orange come autumn. The newly emerging foliage is accompanied by pretty white flowers which have a pink flush to them. This is a self fertile cherry, which will also help to pollinate most other varieties.

The fruit is medium to large with an elongated shape. The skin is yellow-green with very little russeting and the pale yellow flesh is sweet and juicy with a pleasant mild flavour. It ripens in late October and keeps well in storage. Although 'Concorde' is partially self-fertile, to guarantee a bumper crop of pears plant with another tree from the same flowering group (e.g. 'Beurre Hardy')
