Malus 'Charles Ross' was raised by Charles Ross in Berkshire and first exhibited in 1890. It is an easy to grow apple and an ideal garden variety, even in Scotland and other colder areas as is has a good resistance to frost. The apples are large with a good sweet flavour and can be eaten fresh or used in baking. Scab resistant.
