Everest is an outstanding evergreen perennial that will bring a variegated year-round dose of colour to your garden. The gracefully arching leaves are dark green in colour with a contrasting white margin, making this sedge a great focal point.
This small and hardy Carex will form a neat mound and it works really well in a bed or border alongside other evergreen varieties: we would recommend planting this alongside something brighter, like the Carex 'Everillo', as the two plants make the perfect foil with their contrasting foliage. This sedge will also live happily in a pot and its arching leaves will reach over the edge of the pot, which is a great way to add structure to your garden; you could place the pots on either side of some garden steps or by an entrance to fully utilise the year-round colour.
