Fatshedera, also known as ‘Tree Ivy’, are planted for the year round interest that they provide with their evergreen leaves. They are actually climbing shrubs and not climbers but they will happily be trained against a trellis. The leaves are palmately lobed and are usually dark green in colour with a glossy coating; some varieties have attractive variegated leaves which add further interest. Flowers of the fatshedera appear in panicles, usually during autumn, and these are green-white in colour.
