Shrubs
Deciduous and evergreen shrubs are essential elements in providing a permanent framework for the garden, whatever the size or style. They range from low-growing ground-cover plants to tall, almost tree-like plants, although most are considerably smaller in stature. The choice available is huge and, since they all occur in all manner of situations throughout the world, there are shrubs to suit all aspects and all soil types. They can offer architectural forms, often fragrant flowers, decorative fruits and a great diversity of foliage in terms of shape, size and colour.
