Soil: humus-rich, moist, well-drained acid soil or a good ericaceous compost.

Pieris 'Flaming Silver' is a striking evergreen plant that has wine red young foliage. This fades to pinker tones over time, sometimes fading to nearly white, before the mature leaf colours develop. At first the leaf is greenish with a pinkish edge, finally, there's a dark green leaf with slender, silvery white margin. During spring, clusters of pretty, white, bell-like flowers appear which resemble lily-of-the-valley.

This shrub is supplied container grown suitable for year round planting.
