Common Name: Apple Red Falstaff (Dessert)

Latin Name: Malus domestica Red Falstaff

Fruit Size/colour: Small-medium/ Red-flushed

Another heavy cropping apple, self-fertile variety. Red Falstaff has a fantastic, fruity, well balanced flavour and is crisp and juicy. Of particular attraction, is the fact that it is a frost resistant variety. Red Falstaff has excellent storing abilities, so can be eaten throughout the winter. We highly recommended this variety for every garden.

Although this tree is self fertile, it can also be used to cross pollinate other apple trees in the same flowering group (e.g. Egremont Russet).

This apple tree is supplied in a 10 litre container. The total height from the ground is approximately 1.5-2m. (An example of one our 2 year old, bush apple trees can be seen to the left.)

As standard, all of our apple trees are sent out on rootstock M106. This is a semi-vigorous rootstock, with an eventual height and spread of approximately 3m x 3.4m.
