Fruit picking time: Late August – Early September

Corylus Halls Giant is a common variety of hazel. It provides a splendid display for all gardens with its creamy yellow catkins in the early spring or late autumn and vibrant foliage. This variety produces an excellent tasting hazel which has a wide variety of culinary uses. Please note the picture is for illustration purposes only and is not a Corylus Hall's Giant)
This Corylus is supplied bare rooted suitable for planting from November until March. The total height of this tree is approximately 1.5-1.8m (5-6ft) depending on which size you have chosen.
Our bare rooted trees are hand lifted from our nursery on the day or day before despatch. There will be no soil around the roots but they are covered with a bag to prevent them drying out. If you are unable to plant the trees immediately there is no need to panic. The trees are completely dormant this time of year, which means as long as the roots are kept out of the frost and well wrapped up no harm will come to them, although the sooner you can get them planted in the ground the better.
All of our trees and shrubs are grown in the UK to the highest standard. Every order comes complete with planting instructions and a guide to looking after your purchase.
Please see our Delivery page for current dispatch times.
