The ultimate Cornus alba for winter colour. The colour blazes vivid as fire and warms the spirit on a chill winter's day. The colour darkens as winter draws to an end and makes the requisite hard spring pruning less difficult to accomplish. The young stems flash bright and immodest through the summer green of the leaves - a glimpse of a shocking stocking through the leafy skirts. There can be bluish fruits after trivial flowers. The leaves turn scarlet and dangle, brilliant as the stems before they fall in mid-autumn.
This shrub is supplied in a 3 litre container for year round planting.
